The Academy Launches New Phase of Inclusion Initiatives

Casting Networks

Four years ago, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences set specific inclusion goals as part of its A2020 initiative to double the number of women and underrepresented ethnic and racial communities by 2020. The Academy has surpassed both of these goals, and announced 819 new member invitees, including influential casting directors worldwide. Take a look at the list of casting director invitees below:

Last month, the Academy announced Academy Aperture 2025, the launch of the next phase of its equity and inclusion initiative. Academy Aperture 2025 will “further the Academy’s ongoing efforts to advance inclusion in the entertainment industry and increase representation within its membership and the greater film community.”
