Casting Networks® Partners with UCLA and Ghetto Film School to Support Filmmaking Students

Casting Networks

Casting Networks is committed to educating and empowering the future generation of filmmakers and performers. This summer, the Casting Networks team visited both Ghetto Film School, an award-winning film-centric nonprofit, and the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television to provide an immersive demonstration of the Casting Networks platform.

Ghetto Film School is the most elite and inclusive film academy in the world, equipping students for top universities and careers in the creative industries through an introductory education program for high school students, and early-career support for alumni and young professionals. This month, the Casting Networks team not only taught Ghetto Film School students how to use our industry-leading casting platform, but also helped them create Casting Networks accounts in order to cast their own projects. The demonstration included everything an emerging casting director would need to get their project off the ground: from viewing and sorting submissions to connecting with talent for desired callbacks.

The UCLA Film & Television Summer Institute offers students from around the globe the opportunity to study filmmaking at one of the most prestigious film schools in the world. Production students at the UCLA Summer Institute were given a comprehensive demonstration of the Casting Networks platform and were equipped with project creator accounts to jump-start their fledgling projects. Acting students received complimentary talent accounts equipped with premium features to help them launch their careers as professional performers.

Casting Networks is looking forward to the creative success of these young performers and filmmakers!
