Casting Networks

March 15, 2019 (Los Angeles) – Casting Networks LLC (CN), the leading provider of casting and audition management software, has hired Tracy St. Martin as vice president of marketing and Melissa Gabriel Cassel as head of people and culture. The announcement was made today by CN co-CEO’s Rafi Gordon and Alex Amin.

St. Martin, who will report to Amin, will be responsible for planning, staffing, and managing all global marketing functions, and developing and executing a consistent marketing and communications strategy to achieve Casting Networks’ objectives of growth, profitability and visibility.

Cassel, who will report to Gordon, will oversee the development and execution of a global human resources strategy in support of CN’s business objectives worldwide. She will be responsible for all HR functions, with an emphasis on fostering a corporate culture that attracts and develops top talent at the intersection of entertainment and technology.

St. Martin has worked for companies ranging from early-stage startups to large global brands. For the past 13 years, her work has been focused in the e-commerce, subscription commerce and digital content space, including live entertainment company AEG Worldwide and online-dating giant eHarmony.com, where she oversaw global lifecycle marketing. In 2016, she received a “40 Under 40” honor from Direct Marketing News.

Cassel comes to CN with over 15 years of experience in senior HR roles at both established companies and start-ups. She served in senior roles at Paramount Pictures and at Legendary Entertainment, where she developed a transformative HR organization and company culture from the ground up as the inaugural head of HR. During her tenure at Legendary, she built a global HR infrastructure supporting the film, television, and digital divisions in the US, UK, and China. Most recently, she was Saban Brands’ senior vice president of HR and operations for the company’s global entertainment and lifestyle brands during Hasbro’s acquisition of significant IP properties including the Power Rangers brand.

“Melissa has partnered with management to drive impressive business results at critical junctures for several companies, and she created and maintained dynamic, productive cultures there while doing so,” said Gordon and Amin in a joint statement. “Tracy is a nimble and strategic marketer with a valuable breadth of experience. They will both be incredible assets and partners at this pivotal moment for Casting Networks, as we deliver a universal, streamlined casting software solution for the first time in the industry’s history.”
