Awards Season Has Arrived!

The 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations were announced on Wednesday, December 11th at Pacific Design Center’s SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood. The SAG Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA is the only televised awards ceremony to exclusively honor outstanding performances by individual actors and the work of the entire ensemble of a series or motion picture.

The inaugural Screen Actors Guild Awards aired on February 25th, 1995 and the event was an instant success with VIP attendees ranging from Quentin Tarantino, John Travolta, Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon, and the cast of Seinfeld.

Stage 1: Nominating

Nominations are chosen by two separate committees with 2,500 members total. Committee members are randomly selected annually from a list of active SAG-AFTRA members. Members of the Motion Picture and Television Nominating Committees review the ‘For Your Consideration’ ballots and vote on the year’s nominees.

Stage 2: Voting

Voting begins on December 17th and is open until January 17th, 2020. All active SAG-AFTRA members are eligible to vote. You can see a full list of nominees on the SAG-AFTRA website.
