Data Bites: Chief Technology Officer Boris Bronshteyn

Casting Networks

The Data Bites series is a company-sponsored monthly event offering Casting Networks employees an opportunity to learn more about leaders within the company and how they got to where they are today.

This month Yossi Langer, VP Product, interviewed Casting Networks’ new Chief Technology Officer, Boris Bronshteyn, who joined the Casting Networks team in June.

Bronshteyn was introduced to tech at 13 years old when the first personal computers became available in the USSR, where he spent his early years. After begging his father, also a software developer, for a personal computer, he agreed under one condition; study the computer’s manual and pass a quiz at the end. Much to his father’s surprise, Bronshteyn passed the test with flying colors, and thus sparked his interest and appreciation for technology.

Bronshteyn’s advice to his 18-year-old self? Keep good company. “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with,” says Bronshteyn. “Surround yourself with people that inspire you and push you forward.”

As announced previously, Bronshteyn joined the Casting Networks team this summer, and says every day has been exciting and different. Bronshteyn’s favorite part of being CTO at Casting Networks is having the ability to “take an abstract concept and produce something that’s very concrete and meaningful.” Bronshteyn resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Casting Networks is excited to have Bronshteyn on board and to see the innovative tech solutions he and his team will bring to the company and industry.
